I am a skilled music composer and audio engineer and audio post production specialist with a passion for polished, catchy and soulful audio product. I have 18 years experience in various studios and video production houses in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
The library music that I have composed and produced for Mamadance.com is the highest earning music on the site, consistently earning handsome royalties.

Career Experience:

2014 - 2016

Recorded several SABC radio commercials for Unilever.
Released 6 new Library music albums with Mamadance.com: Afrocinematic 1 to 4, Celebrate Cape Town, and Zany ZA.
Completed a Specialist Certificate in Orchestration for Film and TV with Berklee Online.
Edited a documentary for The Alexandra Education Committee.

2011 – 2013

Composed, produced and mixed music for an Austrian Television commercial for Red Bull's Afro Coffee, as well as a full length version of the song.
Composed a children's song to be sung on the set of Mary and Martha, a feature starring Hillary Swank, shot in SA.
Did audio post production, in Dolby 5.1, for Cold Sweat for Urban Brew Studios, directed by Marguerite Albrecht.
Worked fulltime as Final Mix Engineer for 1 year at Asi-B Films, doing Rivhoningo Childrens show for SABC3.
Composed two pieces of Kwela style 1950's music for Winnie Mandela Biopic Winnie directed by Darrel Roodt.
Went on a 4 month theatrical tour of the Netherlands, in a tribute to Miriam Makeba with The African Mamas.

2007-2010

Scored a six-part series for Animal Planet called Safari Sisters, for Wolhuter Media.
Completed my solo CD “Turn Left at Dog Mountain”,
Toured with Afro-Brazilian EDM live band Napalma, to Brazil and to Egypt.
Composed music for ESPN for their 2010 World Cup coverage.
Composed music for a Heineken commercial screened in Holland for the World Cup.

2005 – 2006

Ran own studio on Long Street, Cape Town called The Elbow Room.
Did the score for “Vuyani Mzantsi” TV Series and “Get Bushwise”, a 39-part series for Dewclaw Productions for Granada International.
Composed music and did post production for Face Value, directed by Gareth Bird, which won Best Professional Short Film at the Apollo Film Festival in the US.
Released the Library Albums Bush Telegraph 1, 2 and 3, and Kwela

2000 - 2004

Worked fulltime as an audio engineer/producer/composer at Wild Front Ear Studio in Gardens.

1997 - 2000

Worked fulltime as an audio engineer at Mama Dance! Music Studio.
Composed the Coca Cola Mega Millions game show theme.
Released first Library music album with MamaDance.com.
Successfully completed a Diploma in Audio Engineering at Cape Audio College
